  Bombarded by calls and texts, always automated, goes to voicemail, when you call them back they dont answer. When they do answer, they have basic information and ask you to answer security questions, which surely breach GDPR, and opens up people to security breaches. Requesting payment of debt, but no debt owed, came across very forceful and bullying tactics. Concerns of exploitation of vulnerable people scared of the tactics this company use trying to force people to pay debts with no evidence provided, just a set script.

  Similar story to those above and below. The little info provided seems to indicate they are using companies house info and old customer lists from utility companies/etc.

  First I've got a text message with a ref no and a link to pay outstanding arrears on Utility Warehouse account - I don't owe them any money, don't have an account with them. Then the phone calls began. Block and ignore!

  Ringing all day long. Call them back and never used British Gas. Name they looking for is not me. Then saying I owe money will not give my name so how can they say I owe money. Don’t bother ringing them back it’s a scam.

  Had a series of texts for someone else (named) which were obviously around an outstanding debt and then the continuous phone calls started daily. I have since blocked the number

  For me I started getting voicemails on the regular from this number a couple of months ago. My phone is off most of the time ( he number they are calling I have two phones I'm assuming that's why it automatically goes to voicemail) the voicemails actually started with a female voice but changed to a male voice but it's clearly and recording as they're identical each time apart from the ref numbers which are different every time (randomly generated). I think the worst part of all of this is that I don't even live in the UK (sure I have family there and visit but this looks like they've managed to obtain numbers probably through purchasing them) I'm not going to bother phoning them I'll just leave my phone off. Don't call them back.

  I keep getting calls from this number on my land-line, I don't answer but they always leave a message to call them back immediately, which I don't. I am getting really fed up with these nuisance calls.

  3 telephone calls from this number this week plus a text message. A quick search suggested this is Oriel in Cheltenham. I have no outstanding debts. On the advice from other users, I have blocked their number. Unless you receive a letter in the post about a legitimate debt, ignore any caller that won’t identify themselves properly and who asks for your personal information and data.   DONT ANSWER FROM ORIAL! They don’t specifiy on my answering machine what they want they call it “unresolved matter” which gets you worrying and persuading you to call. Also provide a “reference number” to make it sound legit, it’s a complete con, why? Firstly you’d be told about the matter in more detail and secondly they’d refer to a person they’re contacting. AVOID.

  These fucking scum keep pestering everyday, a total con, look up the number they leave and compare to the actual company that exists, they’re different. Every day automated message telling me it’s the “third call” - bollocks, they can jog on. No name of who they want, no detail of what they want, just don’t answer to these fake twits.

  this call is from cheltenham. they call them selves oreal ,telling me i owe money to british gas .i clearly dont owe money to british gas,my supplyers are southern electric.yes they are big scammers calling people trying to steel money from people who dont owe pretending to oporate on behalf of british gas ...people be careful

  Called claiming to be working for WorldPay, credit card machines. Said I owed £240.... bit odd as my business ceased trading months ago, very clever though having some accurate details... beware of them...

  Repeated phonecalls from an automated human-voice recorded message, with an inserted computer-generated voice stating a "reference number", mentioning an "unresolved matter". I imagine a legitimate call might state the nature of the matter, and address it to a named individual - AND would certainly put it into writing.
